after the night sleeps and lights close their eyes.
after stripping off layers of pretense
and wearing down the walls.
after the swallow flew back its nest
and after the one legged man set his bowl aside.
after the smells of sweat
and charcoal burnt tandoors, have settled down in the streets.
after the eyelids started to caress the cheek
and my breath, your neck.
after saying goodbye, only to come back once again
and smiling after you returned.
after i had loved you to my hearts content
and after i had held you for as long as the sky holds the earth.

after all that had to to be done, was done
